This week in computing we will be continuing our learning about podcasts.  On Monday the children will make a success criteria of what they believe make a good podcast, based on what they have heard they have heard in class.  Once they have that list we will be introducing the children to Audactiy, free, open source software which can be use to record and manipulate sound.

Welcome back after the Christmas break.  We hope you had a lovely time and wish you all a very happy New Year!

This term we are learning about Brazil and the Amazon Rainforest. Our class read will be 'Journey to the River Sea' by Eva Ibbotson. We also highly recommend the Costa Children's 2017 Award winner book 'The Explorer' by Katherine Rundell.

We recognise that many children within the class need continued support with their number bonds and times tables. If you would like to help your child at home, it would really benefit their learning in class.

Please ensure that children are applying their year 5 grammar targets in their spelling sentences.
